A little confusion for Muggles. If you haven't read the HP books, then you may be wondering why certain scenes are being shown. And if you have watched only the HP movies, then you need to realise this movie is set before HP. Grindelwald is not Voldemort. I must say Johnny Depp didn't overdo it. It was perfect, the way Grindelwald can inspire his followers sounding right, but still being the bad guy. Jude Law is the perfect young Dumbledore in my opinion. There are a few old names, and some new characters as well, but obviously Newt, Tina, Queenie aren't the only beings in the wizarding world.
The films effects and grandeur has style. This is not the finale, so you cannot expect all your questions to be answered. There are jaw dropping moments, revelations. Like the trailer said, "Love and loyalty are tested in an increasingly divided wizarding World". All in all, a great entertainer.
Crimes of Grindelwald is just the beginning.
