This movie was figuratively & literally disgusting. It was indulgent & forced. The story was uneven, the acting was "act-y", with theatrical performances shoe horned into a cinematic form. The main character is beyond unsympathetic and his slow suicide by food was horrible to witness & offered no insights into the human condition whatsoever. The make-up/effects were stellar. That's about it. Don't put yourself through the trauma of watching this mess. Aronofsky is brilliant typically...and I TRUSTED HIM. I can't believe he put me through that. Thumbs down.
