Its a piece of classic literature by Premchand.. I mean we all can tell its written by a man because of the portrayal of Anandi as "patti vrata patni" and also taking into consideration the milieu it was written in... glad the syllabus has changed now cuz we can't afford to push this sorta mindset onto the future generations and instilling such misogynistic ideas into the impressionable minds of our youth...
