Anastasia did not survive the slaughter of the royal family's. Anna Anderson was only the most notable imposter, many other people, including a Eugenia Smith, claimed to be Anastasia, also there were claimants to be Maria. Don't get your history from a Disney movie.

Loved this show and watched it religiously from the 1st episode until the early 2000s when it went from a straightforward police procedural to a soap opera, stopped watching it for a few years as I hated what they did to some of the characters, especially Jim Carver. Started watching again not long before it finished but it wss not the same. Would love to see early episodes repeated.
