Ever since I knew Mushu or her Cricket sidekick wouldn't be in the remake I knew it would be bad, since both of them are important but also funny characters that support Mulan. Her change from a figure who has no use outside of looks to proving herself to be a fierce warrior like any other man in the original compared to this now Mary Sue kind of take really severs how her character was and the effort she went through is all thrown out.
