I have long believed that the internet and social media are vampires sucking the life out of our youth. I have witnessed for myself the loss of creativity and curiosity in my grandchild once she was allowed to be on-line for hours at a time. The real wake-up call for me was the social media language used by the students. The adults, esp. the police had no idea what was really being said in posts. This limited series was very well done and esp. the third episode. The acting visceral. I look forward to the young man who played Jaime receiving the accolades he richly deserves. Even though it is a very difficult subject, I hope parents esp. will watch it and learn from the lessons it imparts.

I'm not sure what desired effect this show hopes to achieve. It's far too blatant and the use of the F word for a prime time cable show is over the top. Just who do they think their audience will be other than high school teens who are already bombarded with too many sexual decisions, confusion and hard choices. Why push the boundary even more with something that should be entertaining rather than a full on campaign to force a particular lifestyle upon the viewer. Don't think you can put me into a tidy spot with my opinion. I was steadfastly a champion of the gay lifestyle and lost over 20 near and dear friends during the AIDS epidemic of the 80's. The forcing of another lifestyle choice in the mainstream media today is not what is needed. Understanding can be reached without holding viewers hostage.

Another outstanding performance by Anthony Hopkins. I'm currently dealing with my mother's dementia and this movie really hit home. I'd recommend it to anyone. Olivia Coleman portrayed the his daughter with amazing clarity. A very touching and tragic portrayal of dementia and all those it touches.
