(Spoiler alert...maybe) I was disappointed. Sadly. I wanted to like this movie. But it felt small, confused, mean-spirited (at least toward fans) and cheap. The Morpheus character choices alone were so terrible I should have liked to give it minus stars. I give it two because the actors tried mightily with a script that seemed like it was blended in a Ninja. The fight scenes were boring. It's like they did nothing to try and advance the visual style given all the technical and stylisticly challenging fight movies there have been since 99. It felt like a made-for-tv movie at best. The 'woke' dialogue was eye-roll inducing. Do people really angrily say "Don't take away her agency!" I dunno, some countless iterations of The Matrix later. A normal, "She knew what she was doing." Or any other bit of regular people talk would have sufficed in a number of places. I couldn't care less about any of the characters within the context of this story. Fhugettaboudit. They shoulda let this one stay dead. And, it felt to me like the director was making fun of the fans. And I don't watch movies to be sneered at or browbeaten. Reboot next time. Leave the resurrecting to J.C.
