Terrible. I’ve loved the franchise previously, but the change to turn it into a spy movie / Rambo / ‘xxx’ (as in vin diesel ‘xxx’ action movie) is just a flop. Stick to fast cars and try and keep a hint of realism. A Pontiac in space wearing scuba suits - really? It reeks of James Bond circa Moon Raker, and is just so far I’ve over the top that most comments I heard as we left the cinema were all aligned - complete BS and have ruined the franchise! This is from teenage boys as well who LOVE the franchise. Hope the franchise returns to something close to planet earth, or just turn off the life support and move on. Probably the biggest disappointment of a film I’ve seen in years.
