Defoe was great in acting but the plot fails to materialize. Good pace but ultimately boring and unwatchable.

Story is meh. Acting is meh. The visuals are ok. Not sure why others are rating this highly. Perhaps they have low expectations. A very sub par movie. And half the movie is in slow motion for some reason??
