This is an excellent movie whether you have read the books or not. I watched before reading the books. The movie caught me and drew me in until I wanted to read the books. The books answered questions that I saw in the movie, the answers were there for those who've read the book.
The visuals are amazing from beginning to end, the characters are very well cast. The acting is amazing.
