This is a well-written account of a near-death experience from a young woman who grew up in poverty. Her struggle to make it at a large public university culminated in a near-death experience that completely changed her life. What I love about this book is that she doesn't come off as someone with a lot of spiritual ego after her experience. She doesn't claim to have all the answers, just important insights that can benefit us all no matter our spiritual walk. The author seems human, real, and dedicated to creating a more loving world. I found her story on YouTube and have followed many of her interviews. Honestly, I was surprised by how much more depth and how much more there was to learn about her story. She put her heart and soul out there with courage, determination, fire, and spunk. This is no ordinary memoir. It is one that is knocking on heaven's door.
