My husband and I went to see this yesterday and we each came out with different opinions. For me, it reminded me of LaLa Land; my husband thought it was good, it was sad, but it was written as a musical and didn't tell a story anywhere near as well as Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s all in the eye of the beholder! If you stay to the end you will see in the credits that David Furnish and Elton John produced and directed this. I think it was written as a musical (and let’s not forget that Elton wrote a musical- Lion King- previously) and if you saw this in the West End, you’d be thrilled with your experience. Overall, it was a thumbs up from both of us!
