What a waste. Being a retired joiner who has made loads of staircases. A open tread staircase takes longer to make than a standard closed tread. And what have they done ? Turned the bottom open tread flight into a closed tread by putting risers in. The amount of work someone went to sanding and varnishing for it to be painted.Have spoilt the whole look of the flight. What was they thinking.
