There is a bizarre reason why this album is so special to me.
One older guy I knew (Kev) in the 80s said he used to own it on a cassette tape and was always raving about how great it was but he lost the tape. He also said that because of the film and Star Trek snippets used the album had been banned due to copyright reasons and you simply couldn't buy it anymore.
Then some years later in the 90s I met another guy (Darren) who had mysteriously acquired the album (also on a home recorded tape) and he played it to me over a few joints and I instantly loved it. Thinking to myself "now I know what Kev meant".
He said I could have the tape as he'd recently got it on vinyl from USA. So I took the tape to play it to the first guy in the story (Kev). Basically it turned out it was thee actual cassette tape that he used to own and the two guys (different age groups and from towns five miles apart) didn't know each other nor did they have any mutual friends. So that one tape done about a ten year triangle (maybe more people had it) and returned to its original owner via me.
'Buried In My Brain' I just love so much. 'Bionic Unit' is also another corker but the entire album is quite a trip.
