Pros: The art style is simple but stunning. And I love the lighting effects.
The music (soundtrack and music cues) are awesome.
Having Ron Perlman voice the main character, or really the narration, is epic.
Cons: I honestly feel like the creators really want this be a Souls game. The game feels like you are supposed to die, since there is often new dialogue in the saloon. I was fine with losing my leveled gear I had accumulated, simply because it's pretty easy to find decent gear as you trek through.
But the fact that you also lose your character level progress is absurd.
Why not let the player keep their level progress, but force them to lose their weapons, gear, and iron? Then, each new play through makes it a little easier to get thru so you can actually complete the game.
Literally forcing the player to start over entirely (except for things you bought with sin) after every death does not drive me to play this further.
Also... the teleport circles no longer work. So, that's annoying.
