Though people were expecting a similarity to the animated film. The live action Mulan shows the maturity and cultural honesty that Disney is capable of making. Many people may be “upset” that the film didn’t have any musical influence or a “mushu” but it does include other parts of the original such as the ancestral guardian and instruments music of the original soundtrack. I do believe Disney did a great job with this film, though others may not think so.
