I went into this game a tad skeptical, despite the hype. It had been a long time since the last installment and I was worried we’d lost the original magic. But boy, I’m glad I was wrong. The whole game is a masterpiece that had me playing like I haven’t played in a long while. The puzzles are clever, Luigi learning he has a brain was hilarious, the combat is superb and the story is immaculate. I fell in love with every single character, even the villains. I loved all the missions and tasks you could do to get more items. By the time I finished the game, I was nearly in tears at the realization that it was over. I’m honestly stunned that it was rated so harshly in the beginning, because this is one of the best games, imo, that Nintendo has put out in a while. This game even helped me get used to Kevin as the new VA for the brothers and I can’t wait to hear more of him. If you want a good story, great gameplay, and an overall experience that will brighten your day, this is highly recommended. Every dev behind this game deserves a round of applause.
