I thoroughly enjoyed the film, perhaps because the lambasting that Gleeson received from everybody was so much what I've wanted to do for years. No, seriously, it is an exceptional film with superb acting and many thought-provoking moments. I hope we see much more from this director.

I don't think every film one watches has to have an underlying message. I thought it was a very well acted and interesting film with many incidents to ponder. If I had paid through the turnstiles I don't think I'd have been too disappointed - not every film deserves an Oscar!
