Marge Shilling

This film is one of my favorites. I've loved it ever since I saw it as a kid many years ago. Patty McCormack is EVIL in this-she could have easily played the part in a demonic way but she did not. She simply performs her horrible deeds in a pragmatic, matter-of-fact way. Nancy Kelly is good but overacts at times. Eileen Heckart just breaks your heart-she's lost her only son and knows somehing is being kept from her.

I just finished watching this film. It was very well done. I'm very bothered by the fact that effective birth control was never really mentioned. The vulnerable young girl needed counseling.

I love it. I watch it every week. Great writing and cast. Bruce Greenwood is an addition to any show.

This is the best performance Paul Newman ever gave-and that's really saying something.

With the recent death of the great Albert Finney this wonderful film comes to mind. It's an almost perfect film. Great acting, story and wonderful cinematography make it one of my favorite films. Finney and Tom Courtenay are so good in this. Watch this if you get the opportunity!
