Did the film industry not learn, after casting Dick Van Dyke as a Cockney - DO NOT USE AN AMERICAN ACTOR TO PLAY AN ENGLISH CHARACTER. She was wooden, frighteningly false, and brought no real emotion to the part, at all. Total failure. We have SO MANY brilliant female English character actors. Equally, don't use English actors to play Americans.
