I am really dissapointed for Mel's part being written and presented as so needy, hysterical, loud, abusive... The way that they wrote her is as if she is a crazy bitch and this is not being fair at all for modern day girls out there, while on the other Dan had his cool life, and flings in the office... Also stereotypical.. Why always the guy needs to be the cool who wants space and freedom with other hot women, while the girl has to wait on him over the telephone? Both really problematic characters! I know relationships out there, especially that long, can be hard, and people do mistakes but I hope that young people out there have more profound and smart characters than Mel and Dan's and deal with their issues in a more mature way than causing stupid scenes like that all the time.
