My father was in a Siberian prison camp during WWII and always told me the horror stories about these camps. The extreme cold in winter and the heat in summer. This movie is quite realistic and suspenseful. It gave me at least a small glimpse into the conditions in a Russian prison camp. They even used the Russian dogs for patrolling the border which gave it realism, The scenery is gorgeous and breath taking, sometimes it is hard to imagine that people live in such extreme remote areas. I can definitely recommend this movie.
