I’ve read the book, which is very powerful, but in many ways the movie touched me even more. The book is very visual; it’s the kind of writing that easily let’s the reader imagine the world the book takes place in. To see the world I pictured come to the screen and to actually see the story unfold is powerful, emotional, and beautiful. The characters are some of the most memorable ever written, and the actors bring even more life to them than one would expect. If you’ve read this book, definitely go see the film. If you haven’t, still, it’s a very touching and beautiful movie and very much worth seeing.
