(spoiler free) best show ever. no need to explain just watch. Honestly, this show may seem like a kids show to anyone who hasn't watched it but after watching it, it seriously changes you. That may seem like an exaggeration but this show brings so many new emotions, feelings and experiences to the light. Whether its through the shows character development, where characters went from me not being able to stand them to them being my favourite, or the never seen before storyline. To bring in the simple idea of the four elements and turn it into something so beautiful, is amazing and is partly why avatar deserves so much more recognition. Its not just about a bald kid who came out of an ice berg, but the story of a kid who learns to overcome his past and fight for the justice everyone deserves, alongside his friends who each have their own stories. Another amazing thing about the show are all the different characters. We have the main characters who are continuously developing and changing through the storyline, but then there's the side characters they meet throughout the plot and how the role they play may seem so small but actually means so much and with such little time the creators were able to portray each one so well. *cough* cabbage man *cough*. Even though it may seem like a kids show, the themes and events that happen throughout have the potential for any age range. Its so enjoyable and no matter what age you are, the show will never fail to make you happy. For me and I'm sure a lot of others can agree, theres Sokka's dry jokes always providing us with the reason to laugh even in the darkest episodes, the relationships that develop slowly adding little themes of romance but not taking away from the fact that the show is more action based, the embarassing moments that make us cringe but we love them, and the amazing soundtrack that compliments any scene. Anyway, to the people who gave this show a bad review... I don't know if it was the season one animation that threw you off (Keep in mind it was made in the 2000's so stick with it), or whether it was the fact it is animated, or maybe you saw the terrible live action movie first... But I bet none of you have ever given avatar the last airbender the chance it deserves, so my mission for you, is to go watch it. You'll be suprised how much of an emotional rollercoaster you'll go on and the happiness this show will bring you. And I can assure you, once you finish it you'll be craving for more like we all are right now.
