2 stars is being generous, honestly.
The first few episodes are maybe a 7/10, but after that the characters quickly lose any sense of logic. I cannot understand why this was hyped so much.
The concept is like that of a edgy teenagers wish list. Vampires [with guns,] badass butlers, Militarized Vatican, Nazis, and vampire Nazis. The random humor thrown in meant to humanize the villains feels out of place, and just drags the already boring plot out further and further.
The main characters aren't very likeable, and that makes it hard to care whether they win or lose. The scenes you'd think should be the coolest [i.e. anything with Alucard] are really dull and lack a sense of danger. Most, if not all, of Alucard's fight scenes involve him standing still, getting shot a whole bunch of times, laughing, and then heads explode.
Honestly, it is hard to find any good here.
The animation and sound track are good. The voice acting is pretty decent, too.
But all of that gets overshadowed by a boring plot, and stupid characters.
And boy do I mean stupid.
Integra lacked any sort of sense of strategy and [spoilers] just let the Nazis destroy the entirety of London. Devoid of logic.
I was excited to watch this series.
I am disappointed to say the least.
