I deeply loath this book. Firstly, the characters are extremely unlikeable. You don’t get attached to them or enjoy their presence in the book. The other books did an excellent job on doing so, however I was disappointed to see that that was not the case here. I had high hopes for this book; the eighth book. Honestly, this is a disgrace and actually embarrassing to call this part of the beloved Harry Potter franchise. If Albus were to die, I wouldn’t care. When unimportant characters died in the previous books I actually felt upset - you just don’t grow a bond to the characters. Secondly, this book is extremely bland. Awful description setting wise and appearance wise as well. I just don’t get an image or a spark while reading this. Honestly, I don’t even know why J.K Rowling would allow someone else to write an 8th book. I assume she is disappointed. I never felt happy, or upset, or any emotion during my time with this horrendous book; the only emotion I felt was anger since it’s very bad. And also that I wanted to put it down immediately as soon as I picked it up. I would not recommend it at all if you don’t like wasting time. Due to the awfulness of this book, I will forever say that there are only 7 books in the Harry Potter franchise just because it’s so horrendous. It’s actually terrible that they even called this after the beloved saga. In conclusion, this book is embarrassing to the Harry Potter name and you should not read it.
