I wish I could give it no stars.
Yes book adaptation films often veer off the books actual plot, but usually the core plot and characters are at least there as they are described in the book.
Not only are the basics overlooked in this film it completely disregards the 5 book series as a whole because they only set themselves up for more future failures.
Rick Riordan himself told the studio that they're making a mistake, too bad they didn't listen.
