Can be fun, but the balancing is awful, full of bugs and there are hackers in every other game that have 20 kills before anyone else has 1. It is definitely not worth getting, plus if you buy it you're just funnelling money to ea so give it a miss.

The battles are fun, if a bit simple and samey, but the diplomacy is poor and overall the game feels just as shallow and one-dimensional as the previous total war saga. In addition the popups, events and character traits are annoying but not significant to ever feel like they matter. Also how can you have a game based around a famous sea faring civilisation (perhaps the first great sea born power) and not have naval combat. I will say though that the multiple resource idea is fun but definitely needs refinement. And the graphics are great, atleast on the maps not so much on the units. If you got the game for free then play it but don't waste your money.
