Nope! Absolutely awful! I bought this based on a review that said it was far better than Bohemian Rhapsody... A complete lie! This is hardly a traditional biopic. The description needs to better describe this as a musical. I am an EJ fan and really enjoy his music but this movie was focused more on being a “Grease” and “Footloose” rendition of his life. The constant music and dancing distracted from the actual storyline. At times the scene transitions were completely lost and the ridiculous flash back and forth made it seem fake. As someone who loved Bohemian Rhapsody and was so incredibly excited to have the same joy with an Elton John biopic. I was devastated by how poorly this incredible opportunity failed. For those of you who loved Bohemian Rhapsody I caution you as this MUSICAL will not compare to how well Bohemian Rhapsody was done. The acting is not poor and the casting was done well! It was just directed and written poorly!
