I have been fortunate to work with both Dr Silcox and Dr Neil MacNeill in a variety of education settings, and I was pleased to see that they had recorded their successful strategies to guide school leaders. If I were to paraphrase what they both promoted in schools, it boiled down to an unwavering drive to optimise students' learning. Both authors have been principals of some fairly tough schools, which they turned around. So, what makes the book so useful is that it supports all school leaders as they face the daily challenges in their schools. My copy provides me with excellent support and often a different way of looking at things. This quality advice and support for principals and aspirant school leaders makes it an ideal present.
