I liked the approach the Coach and I assume Assistant Coach took for those who were caught doing things they didn’t approve of, they were given a paddle and made to do extra exercise, but the rest of the team paid for it as well. Showing all our choices, decisions and actions have consequences, not just for us, but friends, family and the community. Instead of taking away the stigma of the labels that the Black Community receive, some warranted, some not; they made stupid choices and decisions, all for gambling, greed and it supposedly being easy, it had devastating affect/effect on friends, family and their community who had supported them through that on and off again season, which they won, but now it was taken away and left a mark on its history, forever. It doesn’t matter where you live, what you drive, what you wear, what schools you have went to, what education you have received and career/jobs you have had, but the choices, decisions, actions and person you are. It doesn’t matter who has done the same things and have gotten away with it, they will reap what they sow. God sees everyone and everything, so everyone will answer for their transgressions. At the end of the day, NO ONE will be ever be remembered for all those unimportant things that seemed important at the beginning of their lives, they will be remembered for who they are as a person and what they did, based on their choices or lack of choices.
