Maddie Marie

The storyline itself was great but it was very surface level. I expected more terror and dread from Jordan Peele but it was more of a dramatic thriller. The characters weren’t ones you got invested in & there were barely any scary scenes. The true horror is supposed to be the meaning and plot line behind Candyman, which was portrayed, but the rest was just eh. The plot was rushed and there weren’t actually any physically scary scenes. To me it was a psychological thriller which is cool but I was expecting more horror.
