I am not a fan of either horror, paranormal or supernatural movies, but this movie The Exorcist is really one of the very best. Leaving out the make up and the grisly scenes ,esp the backward walking down the stairs, or the horrifying demonic sounds, it is a movie of Good vs Evil and the ultimate sacrifice the Priest pays in ridding the young girl of the demon. It is other than that soft and I think that the acting Ellen Burnstyn as the mother is soft, calm and gentle contrasting with the horror of the evil inside her daughter Regan. o I thoroughly enjoyed it. PS. It is not for everyone....
