I have not read the book but only many of the chapters therein that have been down-loaded on the internet.
Many of my Jewish great grandmother's ancestors at some stage resided in South-West England upon arrival from Europe and through reading the Susser articles I have gained much information about my family, i.e. occupations, marriages, deaths etc..
The Susser files are good reading and I highly recommend same for all people with Jewish heritage and ancestors who resided in the that part of England.
