Partition was a historical milestone of independence for both India and Pakistan, with scars of tragedy of life and property loss. Film is predominantly from Indians perspective. Pakistanis and Bangladeshis find some flaws. Radcliffe was pressured by Nehru and Mountbatten to change the original partition plan of 3rd June 1947, and award District Gurdaspur to India, thus paving way for Kashmir annexation by India. But movie depicts as if Churchill had already finalized boundaries and Radcliffe award/ Mountbatten award was mere cosmetics.
