This show is done very well. As a mixed race person, it’s not typical to see a show or film that portrays the diversity within the black community. It does a good job of showing the audience the ebb and flow of intersectionality, revealing the black experience as something with layers and varies between people. For people that may think this show reliant on “reverse racsim” I suggest actually watching the show so that you can learn why that claim is highly illogical. The shows title is what it is, not out of hate, spite or blame, but as a way to prevoke attention, awareness, and conversation. The script is written very realistic as you scroll through the comments below, many of them resemble white students complaints about The title of Sam’s ( a character) radio show Dear White People. The black face party is realistic as it was something I have experienced recently before I finished my undergrad. The college setting really works for the shows purpose. Everyone should watch, educational for all.
