I have been told for years to read this book as I have great interest in World War II books. I've put it off as I've had many different reviews from many people, but I finally read it. I think it's a great book, but I find it to be much too long for the very short story it makes up. Otherwise, this is a great read and is not so widely-known for no reason!

I was sure that no book could ever surpass another book that I've read by this author but I have been proved wrong. This is by far my favorite book that I have ever read and I could read it a thousand times again! The author's use of words and tone is amazing! I would recommend this book to any teenager or older individual as a great read. The end of the book even has pre-written discussion questions that would be great to use as a class book for an English teacher. I can't wait to do more research and let more people know about Wilhelm Gustloff! Definitely five out of five stars!
