Tdlr: 7/10 Aaron Paul is just as enigmatic in his role as Jesse Pinkman as he ever was, so it's a fun watch, however in my opinion, this entry into the Breaking Bad universe is unnecessary.
Without wanting to give anything away, Paul is about the only returning cast member whose appearance doesn't make it jarringly obvious that we haven't just picked up where left off.
The passage of time writ large on some of the returning cast members shatters your suspension of disbelief, which for me served to constantly pull me out of the world the creators of the show so lovingly crafted.
It's not a bad film, but I don't feel that we learn anything new, or that anything of consequence really happens to Jesse.
That being the case it begs the question, what was the point?
It's well-made, there are some lovely scenes, as always the performances are great, but ultimately, we may as well just have left Jesse driving away at the end of 'Felina' and enjoyed the ambiguous ending; not every story needs an epilogue.
