Interesting bit of chick-lit. Quite readable and interesting despite it's descent into hallmark/harlequin territory halfway through. The thought that anyone could be convicted with zero evidence is a little scary and implausible at first glance, but it happens every day. I researched crawdads since I was unfamiliar and it appears to be a term not used at all in the south east for crayfish/crawfish but made for a prettier book title I guess. The "discovery" at the end, in a cabin where the character has been living for decades, is TOTALLY implausible. I find many authors, like many directors, are just "tired of it" and rush to a very clumsy ending. Still four stars, quite enjoyable.
