As someone who read the book i want to say that the movie honestly sucked! Ellie plays soccer in the book, not ribbon dancing or whatever.. By the way, it makes it very clear in the book that Summer and Ellie both have red hair. Why are they both blonde then? Also the movie cut out one of Jacks brothers entirely for some reason?? Wheres Jett?? I also don't like how they call The Captain "Couch" when they call him The Captain in the book. I just don't think that this movie parallels the book well. They didn't even swap bodies the same way in this movie! I feel like the only thing that was accurate (at least in my mind) was the fact that Jack plays hockey. Over all, the movie just isn't very good in my opinion. I see what they were trying to do but its just not good if it doesn't stay loyal to the book.
