I was 10 when the original High School Musical first premiered on Disney Channel and the trilogy was a huge part of my childhood. Naturally, I was skeptical when a reboot was announced but I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality since the debut. This is a reboot done right. It pays tribute to the original while also being something new and fresh. It's not trying to be HSM or recapture what made it great and special, it's its own thing which is pretty good in its own way. The cast is very talented, lead by Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett, are very talented and I enjoyed many of the original songs as well. Excited for the next season.
