I just stumbled across this show accidentally. I never saw t advertised when is was first realised. It might explain why it wasn’t popular. People can’t watch what they don’t know exists.
It is a shame this show didn’t take off as I loved it and would have enjoyed watching a second season in the hopes the main characters move through their chaos to find peace in their lives.
The characters were authentic, very well written and acted, which led to difficult watching at times, but this is the reality of what some people have to do to get by in this world.
And to all the one star reviewers who find this ‘unrealistic’ even the nurse, well I have to disagree. Having had an alcoholic parent and being surrounded by similar people to these characters, in my first 20 years of life, I can say this show was uncomfortably accurate.
