Did not need to be a musical. Songs ruined the whole story and were overbearing. The actors meant well but the material was not good enough. Strong vocalists and great choreography. There was no variety in the music. It took away instead of adding. Made it feel like something is wrong with the movie that I still can't put my finger on. Left a bad taste in my mouth after the phenomenal Lindsay Lohan version. This story did an injustice to the actors. It was weird that both mother and daughter were crushing on Adam🤨. What was that about? I thought at one point the mother would dump the fiancé because she realizes he's not what she wants.
