Although I've never read the fire in the hole books and can not compare how closely the show follows them, that being a rare instance for movies at least, this is a must watch. Olyphant does his best acting in Justified compared to any other series or movie I've seen him in. The way he portrays Raylan Givens and takes on the character is comparable to Johnny Depp engrossing himself in his roles. Goggins, Searcy and Zea are all perfect in their roles as well. The writing, directing and acting come together perfectly. I started buying seasons and getting them as stocking stuffers from my wife after the show had ended on FX and I immediately became hooked.

Kurt Sutter hit another home run with Mayans. Their are those that complain "it isn't SOA" but it's not supposed to be, that great series is over with. Mayans gets deep into the storyline​ in the first episode but with how much is going on with different characters it would take too long to develop that much storyline. It all flows and ties characters together great though and doesn't overwhelm the show. It's just as good as SOA and Sons is one of the best series ever in my opinion. Mayans goes beyond SOA though with more than one plot centered around the main character. The other ones tie into Eazy still allow the other cast members to have a pivotal role. Watch it, you won't be disappointed.
