The production and acting is good. However, when you realize that after the failed prosecution of O.J. Simpson, they are now PERSECUTING him, it makes you pause. That, in and of itself, turned me off. I did not want to watch more than the first episode. I was also quite surprised that it was produced by Ms. Clark, the prosecutor of this larger than life case.
I do not know if Mr. Simpson was guilty or not. I just know that the evidence was not enough to prove it to a jury. However, I do not want to watch a show that clearly veers off into slandering someone after they have been acquitted.
With my background in civil litigation, I can just see a lot of lawsuits resulting from this production. In addition, I think it just brings back a lot of bad memories which could serve to ignite more violence in this angry riddled America of today.
I write a lot of fiction about revenge against social injustice, but it is supernatural fiction.
I do not believe it is wise to “marinate in hate juice,” as I like to put it. This production appears to be just that, stirring up the hate.
