SPOILER ALERT…..I was 19 years old when this movie came out and I did read the book before watching the movie. As usual the book was better than the movie, but even then I thought the movie was amazing at that time. Last night I came across the movie on YouTube for free and decided to watch it again. It’s amazing how much my perspective has changed in almost 25 years. I started watching it and from the start, I was questioning my taste in movies. I’m not gonna go in to too much detail or else I will have spoilers all over the place. It just didn’t sit the same with me now as it did almost 25 years ago and for some reason, Ashley Judd‘s character really rubbed me the wrong way this time around. Hopefully I’m not gonna be spoiling too much by saying this, but I just kept thinking to myself… How is this character that is supposed to be a medical professional not on some kind of birth control? Anyway… I just didn’t love this movie like I once did.
