I am a huge lover of Gilmore Girls through and through. And the seven original seasons were nothing short of amazing. The characters, the heartfelt valuable life lessons, the comedic timing, and a script that always kept is yearning for more. This was the feeling the original GG gave us. Which is why it more than pained me to watch this disastrous revival. “Gilmore girls a year in the life” was nothing even remotely close to the original aspect of the show. First of all the characters personalities were completely backwards. Grounded, determined, good valued Rory was no longer there. Instead we got this self entitled girl hopelessly hopping from career to career and having an affair with a soon to be married logan. Plus Paul the bf, such a filler and how horribly Rory is treating him. Next we have Lorelai who just seemed a little too immature, and I had so much hope for her and Luke. Instead they left us in the same place the show was 10 years ago. No marriage? No kids? We were also missing so many characters in this revival or they were just put on the back burner. No sookie:( I understand the directors attempt on a modern take, but the show seemed to lack all moral sense it once had. Overall the script was horrible, and I would not recommend the revival. Stick to the original Gilmore Girls that we all know and love:,)
