This show raises awareness towards the unfortunate arrangement whereby underaged girls are sold, bought and married without a choice as if they are objects or materialistic. However, what I do not appreciate is the fact that the relationship between the characters Purvi and her husband are romanticized. I think and feel that this element in the show conceals the reality of this arrangement.
This is not an accurate representation of what young girls in India and elsewhere have to face. It does not represent the actuality of the fear and choiceless state young girls are put in. Romance is the last thing that should be in this show.
