Best Alien Invasion series ever, hands down!

Interesting in its delivery, predictable in its result (alternate realities), far fetched on its basis, unexpected in its unfolding, and entertaining, thought provoking and spooky on viewing.

I have never read the novels, but if I did maybe my review would not be as positive. I found the series to be mysterious, and fun. The storyline is helped by the historical lore and family heritage woven into the story. The New Orleans setting is beautiful and the lead actress is amazing! I've enjoyed getting lost in the show and it's the perfect thing to watch during the Halloween season.

Positive reviews? What show were they watching. I tried very hard to get emotionally invested in this show. The character motivations felt forced. The plot points were just to convenient and utterly ridiculous. Obi Wan Kenobi just stumbles upon the kidnapped Leia. Nothing clever or interesting moves the story forward. Why is Reva so angry. Why does Obi Wan not know Vader/Anakin is alive. Yeah, this show looks great, costumes, cinematography, but the story is an abomination.

I would like to see a more edgy adaptation, aimed at a more mature audience but this is a family show after all, and a rather engaging one at that. An entertaining sci-fi adventure series, filled with stunning visuals, high production value and a well rounded cast. It's like, Bill Nye the Science Guy meets Lost. Parker Posey was born to play the role of Dr Smith and the Will Robinson character is great. I'm very excited for season 2.

Not very entertaining, the story is not very engaging, the characters are not very likeable. Tried watching several times, just can't get into it. Try "The Boys" on Amazon prime. The Watchmen's dark cynicism and anti hero grittiness is alive and well in that show.

Of course this film is shunned by the critics, the story is nonsensical and its chock full of low brow ridiculousness, but that's what makes it so fun to watch. Family is complicated and Sextuplets reminds us how funny complicated can be. The sister character is my favorite. Classic Wayans.
