Did not like the story line at all It shows divide and rule of the aristocracy and royal family. Instead of the servants of Downton being in battle with the servants of the royal household and arguing about who should be licking their boots they should be shown as uniting to defeat them. The maid who was stealing had the most progressive thoughts- not that i approve of stealing. Why shouldn’t she have some of what they have. The servants are shown as cringing and feeling like second class citizens. They need to assert themselves. The hierarchy among servants is ridiculous and doesn’t help them at all. They need to unite and overthrow the monarchy and the ruling class. Yes I know its just a film,,,,!,
